Build the
system.

The Activator builds capital. The Architect builds the system that decides what capital gets built, on what evidence, with whose authority, and at what price.

Why the Program

An instrument has to exist before the number does.

Financial capital carries eight layers of governance: visibility, decision authority, accountability, cadence, impact assessment, incentive alignment, board-level reporting, and a structure that outlives its author. Human, intellectual, reputational, political, and social capital carry almost none.

That imbalance is Capital Distortion, and the state it produces is Capital Asymmetry: financial dominates attention and investment while the five leading domains go ungoverned. Erosion begins there as Capital Snowmelt and cascades toward the financial line, which reports last. Nobody has to be instructed to overweight the one domain that lags; the architecture does it. Exhortation does not move any of this.

The Capital Architects Program™ builds the leaders who design the system that does—Capital Symmetry Governance™ made operable, so that what gets created, protected, and liberated is decided on evidence across all six domains.

Who it is for

The leaders who set the system others operate inside.

The chief operating officer, the transformation director, the head of strategy, and the vice presidents and directors who set the measurement and allocation logic the rest of the organization operates under. The executives accountable for making a governance system work once it exists—a different group from the one that authorizes it.

Shape
Five days. Five participants—the floor and the cap.
Why five
Capital architecture spans business units, so the room is drawn from across the enterprise. One or two Architects can design a system that many Activators then operate.
Five capabilities. All five, always.

What an Architect must be able to build.

A delivery that runs fewer than five is not the Program and does not confer the credential.

1

Govern Capital Building Development

Design the stage structure a capital-building opportunity advances through—the gates, the evidence required at each, the cadence of review, and the discipline that stops what has not earned its next stage.

2

Govern Capital Building Decision-Making

Specify who decides what, at which gate, on what evidence, with what personal consequence.

3

Govern Capital Building Portfolios

Read allocation across all six capital domains, detect drift between declared and actual allocation, and run rebalancing.

4

Govern Capital Building Operating Principles

Write the rule set that governs the performance system and the growth system at the same time, and reweight incentives so multi-capital stewardship is compensated rather than merely encouraged.

5

Govern Capital Building Funding

Sequence capital release to the reduction of uncertainty, and liberate capital from what has stopped earning.

Funding and Operating Principles are the two most often dropped—Funding because it collides with finance’s ownership, Operating Principles because it reads soft next to a gate diagram. The Program drops neither.

What governing looks like

Six governance practices.

The practices the built system requires people to perform.

Surface Assumptions
No opportunity passes a gate without the beliefs beneath it stated.
Commit in Stages
Capital is released as uncertainty falls, not all at once.
Allow Reversal
Stopping a committed move is made legitimate rather than a career event.
Judge the Decision
A decision is judged on its evidence, separately from the person who made it.
Count All Six
Consequential decisions are assessed for their effect on all six capital domains.
Watch Upstream
Leading indicators are reviewed on their own cadence, before the financial line moves.

Allow Reversal and Judge the Decision go missing in practice, because they cost the people in the room something personally. A system without them governs well until the first decision someone senior owns.

The standard

Seven design principles.

Every participant’s designed system is graded against seven published principles. They are the standard Serious Capital Architect™ is conferred against.

I

Domain Clarity

II

Visibility Infrastructure

III

Decision Authority

IV

Accountability Structure

V

Governance Cadence

VI

Cross-Domain Integration

VII

Continuity

The one that fails quietly. A design that works because a specific executive sponsors it has not satisfied Continuity, and no other principle can compensate.

What it builds

Compounding Capability.

The measurement across all six capital domains that makes the gap between reported performance and capital health visible in the first place, and the gates that decide, on evidence, what gets created, protected, and liberated.

Solve Next performs the design discipline, Serious Capital Architecture™; the organization operates the model, Capital Symmetry Governance™. The Program produces the people who operate what Solve Next installs, and who build it where nothing has been installed yet. What it produces is Compounding Capability. What the discipline protects is Enduring Enterprise Value™.

Credential
Serious Capital Architect™ · Level 1. Earned against the seven principles, not conferred for attendance.
What it does not confer
Entering here confers Level 1 and nothing beneath it. An Architect is not thereby a Certified Capital Activator™.
How it closes

The Read, then the question.

Participants read where their own organization’s governance stands—its exposure, and its capacity to operate what they have designed. That is the Governance Position Read. Then the question every Solve Next engagement closes on:

The escalation question—verbatim

“Of the assumptions we surfaced—which ones, if wrong, would change a capital allocation decision that only your CFO or CEO can authorize?”

→

Where the gap is measurement

The Growth Gap Diagnostic™ reads the organization’s exposure across all six domains and places its Capital Symmetry Stage™.

→

Where the gap is operating capacity

The Capital Activator Intensive™ builds the Activators who work inside the system the Architects have designed.
